Our life’s work can be can be more than a paycheck. I continue to joyfully navigate the realms of nonprofit, federal, and higherEd, and here’s what I’ve learned: our work must echo our values.

In federal roles, despite the red tape, I found a sense of purpose and, dare I say, a slice of job security. And guess what? Federal employees just landed a 5.2% raise – higher than what I’ve seen in many other sectors. Talk about recognition! 📈

But it’s not just about the paycheck. It’s about the impact. Progressive nonprofits are expanding their horizons, not just in their missions but in their #InclusiveLeadership. That’s how you serve humanity in all its vibrant multigenerational and multiracial hues. 🌈

And higherEd? It’s been a battleground for truth against the violence of racism and oppression. I’ve seen it evolve from passive to fierce, safeguarding the right to educate freely and fearlessly. ✊ We have had to push back today for the generations of tomorrow. To be a free people we need to be free to learn the truth.

So, to my fellow leaders in every sector:
